The Inventory Department in a cruise ship is responsible for managing and controlling the inventory of supplies, equipment, and materials used throughout the ship. This includes food and beverage items, housekeeping supplies, engineering spare parts, and other necessary items. The department is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring inventory levels, and ordering new supplies when necessary.


CRUISE SHIP PROVISION MASTER/ STOREKEEPER
A Cruise Ship Provision Master/ Storekeeper is responsible for the proper handling and management of all food and beverage inventory aboard a cruise ship. This includes overseeing inventory control, generating daily reports on food and supply costs, and ensuring proper receiving and inventorying of all items. The Provision Master/ Storekeeper is responsible for ordering and distributing all food supplies as directed by the Executive Chef, and ensuring that all storage areas are properly organized and maintained. This position requires experience in inventory control and management, as well as strong organizational and communication skills.


ASSISTANT PROVISION MASTER/ STOREKEEPER
An Assistant Provision Master/ Storekeeper in a cruise ship is responsible for managing the inventory, ordering, storage, and distribution of food supplies as directed by the Provision Master/ Storekeeper. They should have a food and beverage background and knowledge of accounting. Good English language skills are also necessary. There is potential for promotion to the Provision Master/ Storekeeper position.
