GALLEY STEWARD/ GALLEY CLEANER
A Galley Steward on a cruise ship is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in assigned areas of the galley, such as the kitchen and dining areas. This is an entry-level position that does not require prior experience, although some knowledge of basic sanitation practices may be beneficial. Galley Stewards must have at least a minimum level of proficiency in the English language. There are opportunities for promotion to the Assistant Cabin Steward position in the Housekeeping Department for those who demonstrate strong work ethic and dedication to their job.
DISHWASHER/ POT WASHER
A Dishwasher/Pot Washer on a cruise ship is responsible for cleaning and maintaining galley stations, including dishwashing, pot washing, and other related tasks. It is an entry-level position that requires no previous
experience, but basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation is preferred. Dishwashers/pot washers must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow directions from supervisors. They must also have at least a minimum level of English language skills. There are possibilities for promotion to the Assistant Cabin Steward position in the Housekeeping Department.
