STATEROOM ATTENDANT

A Stateroom Attendant in a cruise ship is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the cabins or staterooms where the passengers stay. This includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing towels, and other supplies, and ensuring that the cabin is neat and tidy. They also assist passengers with any requests or needs they may have during their stay, such as room service or laundry pickup and delivery. As responsibility for the cabins or staterooms falls under the housekeeping department, the Stateroom Attendant works closely with the rest of the team to ensure that passengers are comfortable and have everything they need for a pleasant stay on board the ship.


ASSISTANT ROOM STEWARD / STEWARDESS
An Assistant Room Steward in a cruise ship is responsible for assisting the Room Steward in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of assigned areas and passenger cabins, they must be able to prioritize tasks efficiently, ensuring that assigned areas and passenger cabins are cleaned and organized promptly and to a high standard which includes performing daily cleaning tasks such as making beds, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing towels and other supplies, and ensuring that the cabin is neat and tidy. The Assistant Room Steward must also be friendly, approachable, and able to communicate effectively. These skills will help him/her assist passengers with any requests they may have for laundry service or other housekeeping needs. As an entry-level position, some experience in housekeeping would be an asset.


POOL & DECK ATTENDANT
A Pool & Deck Attendant, also known as a Pool Butler or Deck Steward, is responsible for ensuring that the pool area on a cruise ship is clean, safe, and well-maintained for passengers. They follow procedures to open and close the pool each day and clean the area, including picking up any litter or debris in the evening. Additionally, they are responsible for attaching and detaching the net over the pool. The Pool & Deck Attendant may also empty and clean waste baskets and ashtrays and transport trash to the disposal. Furthermore he/she assists passengers with setting up lounge chairs, umbrellas, and other poolside amenities. They may be responsible for enforcing safety regulations in the pool area, such as ensuring that passengers do not run or dive into the pool. In addition, they must be prepared to respond to any emergency situations, such as accidents or injuries. Overall, the role of a Pool & Deck Attendant is to ensure that passengers have a safe, enjoyable experience in the pool area on board the cruise ship. They work hard to keep the area clean and tidy, while also helping passengers and enforcing safety regulations.


REQUIREMENTS:
-EXPERIENCE IN HOTEL OR PRIOR CRUISE SHIP EXPERIENCE PREFERED
-VERY GOOD ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS REQUIRED
